What To Expect: For New Patients

For all new patients your first visit will be a complimentary consultation. At this appointment we will get you introduced to the practice! We will go over any questions or concerns you may have and discuss how we do things in our office. This is a great opportunity for you to meet our team members and see firsthand what makes our office different! After the consultation we will then set you up for your New Patient Appointment.

Your New Patient Appointment is where all the fun stuff happens! You will have an exclusive appointment with either Sarah or Rebekah, our two AMAZING hygienists. We strive to provide a relaxing experience for all of our patients by offering paraffin wax hand treatments, dental massage chairs, flat screen televisions in every room, and warm lavender towels at the conclusion of each appointment. Your appointment will begin with your hygienist going over your medical history and covering any questions or concerns you may have. After taking a few diagnostic photos we will then proceed with a full mouth series of x-rays, dental charting, and a comprehensive periodontal exam. At this point the hygienist is able to classify your periodontal status and proceed with an individualized cleaning. After your cleaning you will receive an oral cancer screening. Dr. Matt will then come in to perform your comprehensive oral exam and we will discuss and plan for any treatment. We will wrap up your appointment with a recommended fluoride treatment.

What To Expect: For Returning Visits

At your return visits you will be seen by the same hygienist that you saw at your New Patient Appointment. Every appointment is individualized for the patient so it’s hard to say exactly what will happen at each visit. A typical “recall” appointment includes a cleaning, exam with Dr. Matt and x-rays once a year.
